During 2020 I read this book on my outdoor patio, and it left such an impression on me. The author painted a rich portrait of India, it’s forever burned in my memory. The marigolds are a culturally significant flower in India, used during religious ceremonies and festivals. It was the perfect backdrop for this book. I also tested using a badge, which has been popularized in the book club community. Book lovers resonated with this approach and it’s been a design convention we have continued to utilize.
